ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The Bakersfield Condors erased an early two-goal deficit and Andrew Carroll scored in the eighth round of a shootout to lift them over the Alaska Aces, 3-2, on Sunday.
Laurent Brossoit picked up his 20th win of the season with 36 saves in 38 tries, and seven more in the shootout.
Alaska (37-16-2-3) scored twice in the first seven minutes of the game, first on an Alex Belzile slap shot from the high slot three minutes in, then again about three minutes later on a power play goal by Brad Richard.
Then the Condors started battling back.
Carroll deflected a shot by Eric Burgdoerfer past Aces goalie Gerald Coleman coming off a power play late in the second period.
The Condors tied the game when Travis Gawryletz banged in his own rebound 2:12 into the third period.
