On Christmas Eve morning, for the second year in a row, there were food, coats, blankets and toiletries available at Central Park for the hungry and disadvantaged.
Tuesday morning, Jaclyn Allen and other members of the Hens Roost, which runs the Brimhall and Haggin Oaks farmers markets, fed about 200 people hot soup, beverages and other foods gathered from local farmers and prepared by volunteers.
Allen called it "Project Christmas Eve."
"It's a Farmer's Market Christmas," she said.
In addition to Hens Roost, several local businesses helped acquire the blankets, coats and toiletries that were given away.
