SANTA BARBARA -- Kendell Huser shot a 77 on the par-72 Santa Barbara Golf Club on Monday at the WSC Match No. 5 to take top individual honors, the first time this season for BC.

The team finished in fourth place at the tournament. Santa Barbara City College won the tournament with a team score of 323.

College volleyball

Cal State Bakersfield battled back from dropping the first set and trailing in each of the other three sets Sunday to beat San Jose State in four games, 19-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-21.

Debora Araujo was the leader in kills for the Roadrunners (11-9) with 19, one of three total for CSUB with double digit kills. Kelsee Sawyer (15) and Shayna Guitare (10) were the other two.

Liberty grad Mariah Alvidrez led the Roadrunners in digs with 20, and the team combined for seven total blocks. Fernanda Golcalves and Lisa Barsch combined for 48 assists.

Hanah Blume led the Spartans (4-13) in kills with 19.
