Law enforcement and social service employees descended on a Tehachapi home Tuesday, and in addition to confiscating 100 marijuana plants and an assault rifle four juvenile children were taken into protective custody.
Kern County sheriff's deputies, a code compliance employee and social workers from the Department of Human Services were conducting a child welfare investigation at noon at a residence in the 18000 block of Alps Drive. It was determined that the four children were at risk, and they were taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services social workers.
