VISALIA -- D.J. Vidal had a goal and an assist to lead the Bakersfield College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory Saturday over College of the Sequoias.

Monica Diaz headed in a Vidal pass off a corner kick to open the scoring midway through the second half.

Vidal scored off a pass from Michelle Carbajal at the 75th minute in what proved to be the deciding goal for the Renegades (4-2).

BC goalie Tina LaFore made a diving save to preserve a scoreless game in the opening minutes of the second half.

WALNUT -- The Renegades went 1-3 in the Mount SAC duals, defeating Rio Hondo 24-18.

The Renegades lost to Cerritos (30-20), Santa Ana (33-9) and East Los Angeles (24-21).

Heavyweight Josh Davis from Frontier and 149-pounder Jawayne Fambrough went 4-0 in the meet, while Jonathon Gomez (157) went 3-1.

Coach Bill Kalivas added he was impressed with a pair of freshman, as well, Dillon Harroun and Oscar Corona.

BC hosts its own dual Saturday.
