The Kern County Fire Department is at the scene of a plane crash near Tehachapi, the second plane crash the agency has responded to today.

Fortunately, it appears neither crash has resulted in major injuries or deaths.

Fire department spokesman Leland Davis said details are still sketchy, but it appears a private plane carrying a pilot and two passengers crashed in a large field behind a house, approximately one mile southwest of Mountain Valley Airport, which is located southeast of the Tehachapi's central business district.

There was no fire, and two of the three men declined medical services at the scene. A third man may have suffered a bone fracture, Davis said.

Names of the crash victims were not available.

Meanwhile, earlier Saturday, two men walked away from another plane crash -- this one an ultralight aircraft -- that occurred southwest of Bakersfield. For more information about that incident, go to .
