Bakersfield police and other law enforcement found 27 people out of compliance with the terms of their sex offender registration during a sweep Wednesday morning.

Law enforcement officers made 22 arrests, 11 for felonies and 11 for misdemeanors, police said. A total of 149 people were contacted during the operation.

Police said every person that was targeted has prior arrests and convictions for various sexual offenses.
