Wednesday marked the beginning of daily lane closures that will last for a month on Highway 119 from just east of Weed Creek Bridge to west of Lakeview Washington Bridge, including the areas of Valley Acres and Dustin Acres.
The closures will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of a shoulder widening project that is scheduled to be completed in May. One-way reversing traffic control with flaggers and a pilot car will be used.
Motorists may experience traffic delays of up to 15 minutes within the project area, and are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible.
Closures may continue for longer periods of time each day if necessary due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during construction.
