The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in locating Monica Palacioz. Palacioz is wanted for questioning in a homicide investigation. On Nov. 23, the body of 21-year-old Joseph Vargas was located at 1903 Quincy St. #3 in east Bakersfield. Vargas had been shot in the head and his death has been ruled a homicide. Palacioz is a person of interest in the investigation. She is possibly living in Madera. If anyone has information on her whereabouts, they are asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 861-3110, Sgt. The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating a missing person. Jaclyn Kay Descamp is a white female, 33, 5 feet tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Descamp was last seen about Jan. 10, 2013, in the 300 block of Oak Street. She was reported missing under unknown circumstances. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call Detective William Toler at 326-3857.

Palacioz is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 3 inches, 190 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. Her last known address was in Madera.
