One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash at 7th Standard and Bussell roads Thursday morning.
The crash involved two pickups and a big rig and occurred at 6:50 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The coroner's office identified Bakersfield resident Roy David Grijalva, Jr., 35, as having died at the scene.
Grijalva was driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra east on 7th Standard Road when he drifted into the westbound lane of traffic and collided with a big rig driven by Arvin resident Kenny McNeill, officers said. The Toyota continued east and hit a 2008 Ford F-150 driven by James Perry of Bakersfield.
Perry and a passenger, Tyler Perkins, suffered minor injuries, officers said. McNeill was uninjured.
Officers closed 7th Standard Road for four hours as a result of the crash.
