A boy was shot in the left thigh Tuesday night in Bakersfield, and deputies don't have much of a description of the suspect.
Deputies were called at about 6:50 p.m. to a report of a person lying in the north alley of the 400 block of Jeffrey Street suffering from a gunshot wound, a Kern County Sheriff's Department news release said.
The victim said he was shot by someone in a passing gray compact vehicle that fled northbound. He wasn't able to give any more details.
The juvenile, whose age was not given by deputies, was taken to a hospital.
Nobody has been arrested.
