At 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Kern County sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 15900 block of Opus One Road in the Rosedale area.

The reporting party indicated her neighbor's home was being burglarized and the suspects were removing property from the home and loading it into a pickup. A deputy saw a pickup matching the description pulling into a shopping center on Rosedale Highway west of Allen Road.

The deputy pulled in behind the vehicle as it parked in a parking spot in the shopping center, and two people ran from the vehicle while the deputy detained three other suspects. The two suspects who ran got away.

The other three suspects - Ruben Ortega, 19, Armanda Arriaga, 18, and Nicholas Flores, 18 - were arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
