Visalia resident and regular Bakersfield performer Rudy Parris, who was eliminated from "The Voice" a few weeks ago, returns to the hit NBC singing competition Tuesday to perform with finalist Terry McDermott.
In a break from rehearsals in Los Angeles on Friday, Parris told The Californian over the phone that McDermott and several eliminated contestants will sing "Rock and Roll All Night" by the rock group Kiss, Parris' favorite band. The long-haired Crystal Palace regular also gets to play guitar during the performance.
Michaela Paige, who, like Parris, sang alongside McDermott on the team coached by country performer Blake Shelton, also will be featured in the performance, as will Bryan Keith and Amanda Brown, who worked with coach Adam Levine. Brown was eliminated just last week in an emotional results show.
Parris told The Californian in a prior interview that he and McDermott were roommates in the initial competitive rounds of "The Voice" and became close.
