Tickets to the Dec. 8 California community college football championship game between Bakersfield College and City College of San Francisco have gone on sale to the general public at various Bakersfield locations.
BC (10-2) and San Francisco (10-1) will play at Memorial Stadium with a 2 p.m. kickoff. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, seniors and children under 12.
BC Athletic Director Ryan Beckwith estimated Friday that 5,000 tickets have either been sold or are committed to being purchased.
In addition to the BC ticket office, tickets are also on sale at Action Sports, 9500 Brimhall Rd.; Covenant Coffee, 1700 N. Chester Ave.; Frugatti's Restaurant, 600 Coffee Rd.; Luigi's Restaurant, 725 E. 19th St.; The Padre Hotel, 1702 18th St.; and at Kern Schools Federal Credit Union's six Bakersfield offices.
This is BC's first appearance in a state championship game since the 2000 season, when the Renegades lost to CCSF 31-13 in Visalia.
