A second arrest has been made in the case of an August shooting at the Super 8 Motel on Wible Road, while a third suspect is still at-large, according to a Bakersfield Police Department news release.

Jose Junior Trejo, 23, was arrested on suspicion of murder, robbery, conspiracy, felon in possession of a firearm and participation in a criminal street gang. Trejo was out on probation under realignment, according to the news release.

At 5:47 a.m. Aug. 18, Bakersfield Police responded to reports of several shots heard outside of the motel. When officers arrived, they got another report of a possible victim of an assault with a deadly weapon at the Chevron at 3300 White Lane.

At the Chevron, police found Angel Rios, Jr., 46, suffering from a single gunshot wound. They determined he was the victim from the motel. Rios was taken to Kern Medical Center, where he later died.

Trejo was found at an apartment in the 1300 block of Pacheco Road, according to the news release. He has been booked into Kern County jail.

Police have already arrested Kessler Cannon, 24, in connection with the same crime. Police are also looking for Oscar Rene Quintero Medina, 28, in connection with the shooting, according to the news release.

Medina is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds with short black hair, brown eyes and a large "KC" tattooed on the left side of his head.
