Bakersfield actress Cindy Lee Garcia said today she's fighting to "salvage her career" after losing a bid to force YouTube to remove the controversial "Innocence of Muslims" video.
Garcia told The Wrap, "I need to salvage my career" in the wake of outcry and deadly protests over the movie's trailer. Garcia has said filmmaker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula deceived her and other actors by hiring for a movie called "Desert Warrior," only to later dub inflammatory words over their scenes.
"This is not my character," Garcia told The Wrap. "I attended a film premiere for another movie I did last night, but I can't even mention it because of the damage it might cause."
Garcia also revealed to The Wrap portions of the script she said she filmed.
She plans to appeal today's decision.
