Now former Bakersfield Blaze shortstop Billy Hamilton is continuining his torrid season and he's getting even more attention after recently hitting an inside-the-park home run in a game for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos against Jacksonville.
The Los Angeles Times was careful to note that Hamilton covered the bases in 13.8 seconds -- nearly a half-second faster than the best peformance by a Major League player in 2012.
Consider this: He covered 360-feet in 13.8 seconds -- just over 120 yards or 110 meters. That means he's coming through the 100-yard mark about 11 seconds, but that's also going around bases.
Well, here's the video proof of the play.
