About 1:38 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a residence in the 200 block of Wilson Avenue in Oildale regarding a robbery.

When deputies arrived they found that two suspects had entered the home and tried to rob three victims. Two of the victims had been stabbed, one numerous times in the face and upper body and the second in the torso.

The suspects abandoned their vehicle and ran from the home.

One of the suspects, Eliazar Ponce, 22, was arrested at San Joaquin Hospital. He'd gone there for treatment of injuries he suffered during the altercation.

Ponce was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and conspiracy.

Leonard Soto, 29, was identified as the second suspect and a warrant has been obtained for his arrest.
