Q: Is there anytime in the near future that the northeast side of Renfro road will be extended and finished?

The road was turned to curve but we still cannot cross over Highway 43. We have to go left then over. When will this project be finished? Will we have to wait until the county gets more money to finish this project?

A: The county wants to do a grade separation project at Renfro Road and the BNSF railroad tracks but it's not going to happen for a long time, some 10 to 25 years, according to the Roads Department.

That's because it's hugely expensive to build such safe railroad crossings, upwards of $30 million to $35 million, officials said.
