Robert Price/ Reporter

He has covered government, the oil industry, growth and development, telecommunications, entertainment and sports, among other things. "This project grew out of my own curiosity about the Bakersfield Sound. How did all those talented people land in Bakersfield at the same time, what was so different about what they were doing, and how, if at all, has it influenced what we hear today in country music, rock music and things in between? I found that the Bakersfield Sound was more than a just a 15-year trend in music -- it was economics and clashing cultures and a whole bunch of other things. It was just a story aching to be told. "
