South girls soccer upsets Foothill, 1-0

After several near misses, the South High girls soccer team finally got the signature win it has been seeking since the beginning of the season.

In the process the Rebels likely ruined Foothill’s chances of winning a share of the Southeast Yosemite League title.

South got a second half goal from freshman Alexis Sanchez and then held off a late Foothill charge to beat the visiting Trojans 1-0 on Tuesday night.
