Four Bakersfield men were killed Friday afternoon when their car collided head on with a semi tractor-trailer rig on Highway 65 south of Ducor, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Bakersfield Police Department officer and two others were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries Friday when the cop collided with another vehicle in a southwest Bakersfield intersection, spurring a four-car crash, officials said.
