Cool mountain breezes and balmy temperatures in the mid ’70s are forecast for the event, which begins at 11 a.m. Saturday with a parade featuring more than 50 entrants. It kicks off the weekend’s activities, including skydivers descending on the fairways of the village’s golf course.
Organizers expect up to 10,000 visitors.
“There’s fun here for the entire family,” fest organizer Mark Bailey said. “And it’s not a long, expensive drive.”
Magician Lincoln Bond joins dancers and stage performers in the pavilion featuring comedy skits by local thespians and dancers.
Musical entertainment throughout the village center features tunes by popular oldies band Yesteryear, Peruvian music by Duchicela, blues by Rick Berthod and The Persuader Band, the Chris Wilson Blues Band and other local musicians.
