Developer Castle & Cooke has opened a mortgage company that deals with new construction, refinance, resale and home equity loans, among other types.

Castle & Cooke Mortgage LLC, 10000 Stockdale Highway, Suite 145, opened on Jan. 3, said branch manager Evelyn Ledbetter.
"We can handle anything," Ledbetter said. "Whatever their mortgage needs are."

TERI BJORN has joined Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann & Girard as a real estate attorney.
Bjorn's focus will be in real estate sales, acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, land-use planning, consulting and entitlements.
Before joining the firm, she worked as a partner at Clifford & Brown in Bakersfield. Bjorn has more than 25 years of experience.
A 1979 graduate of George Washington University, she became the first woman partner in a Kern County law firm in 1984.
MARY ANN MALLORY of Mallory & Associates Real Estate Investments has completed the requirements to earn the Quality Service Certified professional designation.
Maintaining the designation rests on on feedback from every buyer and seller served.
WILLIAM REDMOND JR., a Bakersfield member of Coldwell Banker America West, earned a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager Designation.
Redmond is a sales manager/broker associate for Coldwell Banker and a member of both the local and state Association of Realtors. He's also a sales trainer and motivational speaker.
BRUCE GOLDSMITH of Coldwell Banker Commercial America West in Bakersfield has earned a spot in the company's Silver Level Circle of Distinction.
The honor goes to the top producers among more than 4,000 Coldwell Banker Commercial associates. Winners of the award produced at least $225,000 in closed adjusted gross commission income from franchisable commercial services for 2005.
Goldsmith has been with the company since January 2004.
TINO CHECCHI, also of Coldwell Banker Commercial America West in Bakersfield, was named one of the 2005 top five producers for the company's western region.
Checchi also earned a spot in the company's Platinum Level Circle of Distinction. Winners of the award produced at least $500,000 in closed adjusted gross commission income from franchisable commercial services for 2005.
Checchi joined the company in September 2002.
