Happy 50th Ordination
Rev. Ronald C. Bennett
On June 22, 1958 Ron was ordained in the Augustana Lutheran Church at Lake Chataugua, New York. He’s served five congregations in Irving Texas, Lancaster, and Bakersfield , Pacifica
and Lompoc Ca.
He retired in 1994.
Since then he has served as an interim pastor in New Zealand where he bungy jumped from a bridge over the Shotover River
143 feet below.
He led a worship service atop Mt. Whitney, has led tours to Israel and spoke from Martin Luther’s pulpit at Schlosskirche in Wittenberg. He kissed a former miss America, hosted Col. Sanders (ofKFC Fame) and shot the breeze with astronaut Gene Cernan.
He is currently on staff at St. Johns Lutheran Church in the role of Pastoral Care. He and his wife Priscilla have been married 54 years and they have 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren.
