Alicia Torres
Congratulations to Alicia Torres for placing second in Youth Girls Shot Put throwing 44 ft. at the Junior Olympics in Omaha, Nebraska this July.
In previous meets she placed first in District, City, Valley, Association and Regionals before moving on to compete at the National level.
Alicia was coached by her great aunt, Angie Castaneda, for the past four years. During these four years Alicia has consecutively competed at the Olympic level under the coaching and guidance of her great aunt. We would like to thank Aunt Angie for her love, time, support and dedication.
We would also like to thank family and friends who have helped support Alicia during this journey.
We could especially like to thank her grandfather, Nicholas Gaona, for his financial investment as well as his time, energy and love. We are proud of our daughter and her pursuit for her own personal best.
