Michael Jones and Patricia Braden, along with their family and friends, are pleased to announce their engagement to be married. Michael, born and raised in Bakersfield, CA is the son of Laura & James Jones. Patricia, born in Lemoore, CA is the daughter of Madelyn Braden of Coronado, CA and Joseph Braden of Stayton, OR. Patricia moved to Bakersfield in January of 2005. The couple met through a mutual friend who had invited Michael and Patricia over for dinner one night in July of 2006. Within a month, they became inseparable. Seventeen months later Michael proposed marriage and Patricia happily accepted. The Bride-to-be has worked in office administrative positions since graduating from Coronado High School in 1995. For the past three+ years she has been employed by an international commercial real estate company and recently promoted to Marketing Specialist for their Office Properties team. The Groom-to-be has worked in the information technology industry since graduating from North High School in 1998. He has done subcontract work within oil field companies and has worked for a local credit union bank in Bakersfield. For the past two+ years he has been employed by an international oil company as a UNIX/Linux Administrator for many of the systems that support their Geologists in the San Joaquin Valley. On January 31, 2009 the couple will be married at their church and will share their special day with family and friends - many of whom live locally in Bakersfield, and others will be traveling to the wedding from Madera, Barstow, San Diego, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Brazil.
