Cindy Atkin-Talley of Bakersfield and Gary & Janice Atkin of Kennewick, WA, are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kym Atkin, to Brent William Hoffman, son of Bill & Jean Hoffman of Sacramento, CA. The bride-to-be is a 1994 North High School graduate, received her B.A. in Psychology from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, and earned a Master's Degree in Not-For-Profit-Leadership (MNPL) from Seattle University. The groom-to-be graduated from Hiram Johnson West Campus in Sacramento and received a B.A. in Business from California State University, Sacramento. Kym works for the American Cancer Society in Sacramento as the Lead Manager of Relay For Life for northeastern California, and before that worked for Relay For Life in Bakersfield. Brent works in modular building sales at Design Space Modular Buildings, Inc. Brent proposed in the early morning hours on April 12, 2008, on their way to the airport for a vacation in Mexico. The wedding will be held at the Shore Cliff Lodge in Pismo Beach on March 14, 2009 and the newlyweds will celebrate with a surprise honeymoon that the groom is planning immediately after their special day. The happy couple will continue to reside in Sacramento.
