Engagement Announcement
Alyse Barrios and Christopher Braaten
The families of Alyse Marie Barrios and Christopher John Braaten are blessed to announce the couple's engagement.
Alyse is the daughter of Henry and Ann Barrios and is a graduate of B.H.S. and CSU, Bakersfield. She is currently the director of Cal. S.O.A.P., a college outreach program.
Christopher is the son of Bob and Cheri Braaten. He is a Stockdale High graduate and is completing his degree in English at CSU, Bakersfield. He is also employed with the Probation Department.
Since their first date last June, Alyse and Chris have been inseparable. Each considers the other God's answer to their prayers. On December 13, 2007, Chris proposed to Alyse while on her front porch swing. Their new life together will begin when they are wed on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Higher Ground Church. A reception will follow at the Braaten home. After returning from their honeymoon in Florida, Chris and Alyse will reside in their new home in Bakersfield.
