Married to my beautiful wife Karen for more than two years, have a young son Landon, and we moved here from North Carolina in December of 2006. A native Hoosier, so I've been a Colts fan since 1984. I don't think they'll repeat but they'll make the playoffs again.

A Kern County native, I moved to Bakersfield in 1989 and attended West High (1998) and CSUB (2003). Joined the Californian in June 2003 as a part-time news assistant and became a copy editor in July 2006. Played football and baseball in high school.
I picked up the telephone and they asked. Dean of high school sports with more than 21 years of covering high school sports in Bakersfield. “Does longevity count for anything?”
