Man shot through bedroom window early Sunday

A 22-year-old Bakersfield man was hospitalized with injuries early Sunday after being shot while lying in bed.

Arturo Alvarado was taken to Kern Medical Center for gun wounds to his left ear, chest and right leg.
Bakersfield police said the gunman opened fire from outside Alvarado’s bedroom window.
The incident took place in the 1100 block of Melwood Street in southeast Bakersfield.
Alvarado’s condition was unknown Sunday afternoon. A KMC official said he was no longer at the hospital.
