At about 3:50 a.m., 24 employees were shot at in the manufacturer’s break room at 7301 District Blvd., according to a Bakersfield Police release. No one was injured.
Police don’t know the motive, Bakersfield Lt. Mike Cantrell said.
The suspect vehicle, a dark colored compact, fled eastbound on District Boulevard, and officers located a matching vehicle further down the street at Stine Road, the release said.
Richardo Aguilar, 20, of Lamont was arrested on suspicion of reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and probationer in possession of a firearm.
The vehicle’s other two male occupants could not be connected to the crime, Cantrell said.
Aguilar was booked into the Kern County Jail.
