Michael Anthony Willis, 24, admitted to using computers to make money from digital and electronic images of U.S. cash, according to the Department of Justice.

The money was used at businesses in the Bakersfield area, including $9,800 in counterfeit $100 bills passed at a casino, prosecutors said.

Willis’ co-defendant, Christopher Stephen Willis, 20, of Bakersfield, was sentenced last month to 17 months for conspiracy to manufacture and possess counterfeit U.S. currency.
