Arvin man suspected in hit-and-run crash with serious injury

A 20-year-old Arvin man has been named a suspect in the hit-and-run crash Tuesday on Rancho Drive that seriously injured another man.

Yadil Lopez was named the suspect after a follow-up investigation, California Highway Patrol Officer Greg Williams said. Lopez is accused of crashing into a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Victor Hernandez on Rancho Drive south of Herring Road. Lopez then ran from the scene.
Hernandez was in serious condition at Kern Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lopez is asked to call the CHP at 864-4400 and ask to speak to Officer Chris Freeman or any shift supervisor.
