The funeral, memorial service and public viewing of the late Marine Cpl. Adam Zanutto have been scheduled for early next week, his family said Wednesday.

Zanutto, 26, of Walker Basin, died Monday at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., nine days after he was injured in a roadside bombing outside Baghdad.

The three services will all be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, east of Bakersfield, the Marine's brother Scott Zanutto said.

The public is invited to all three services, Zanutto said.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 8 p.m.Monday inside the chapel at Hillcrest.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday inside the chapel. The funeral, with a graveside service, will immediately follow the memorial service.

Zanutto will be buried at the Hill of Valor at Hillcrest Memorial Park, dedicated to veterans and their families.

Scott said it's been a difficult time for the tight-knit family.

"It's a roller coaster ride," he said. "It's good one moment, then you think of him ... ."

Zanutto, a Foothill High School graduate, was weeks away from finishing his third tour of duty in Iraq.

The serviceman leaves behind his parents, two siblings, wife Amber and her two children.

Hillcrest is on Kern Canyon Road, east of the intersection of Niles Street and Highway 184, along Highway 184.
