Andrea and Gregory Kohler's next hearing date was scheduled for Dec. 6, said the couple's attorney, Greg Mitts of Bakersfield.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's office is still deciding whether it will file charges.
The Kohlers were arrested on Oct. 20 at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez after a colleague's wedding.
Gregory Kohler allegedly bit a casino security guard and Andrea Kohler allegedly scratched one on the neck during a confrontation that evening, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department arrest record.
The Kohlers were acting in self-defense because the guards were overly aggressive, Mitts claims.
Casino officials have declined to comment.
Andrea Kohler, a Kern County deputy district attorney, is best known for helping prosecute the Bruce Sons murder case last year.
