Meanwhile, Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials are continuing to investigate what happened at the Mojave Air & Space Port that also injured three others.

Airport officials hope the inquiry will be complete within a few weeks, spokesman Tom Weil said.

The incident occurred in the northeast area of the airport during a propellant test of nitrous oxide. Scaled Composites, which made the first privately funded craft to carry humans to space, conducted the test to prepare for a second spacecraft.

Killed by the blast were employees Eric Blackwell, 38, of Randsburg; Charles May, 45, of Mojave; and Todd Ivens, 33, of Tehachapi.

Keith Fritsinger and Gene Gisin were in critical condition and Jason Kramb was in fair condition at Kern Medical Center on Monday.

May's funeral is scheduled for Friday in Collierville, Tenn.

To help those involved in the accident, donations can be made to Scaled Family Support Fund, c/o Scaled Composites, 1624 Flight Line Road, Mojave, CA 93501.
