Republican Assembly candidate Danny Gilmore of Hanford picked up an endorsement Tuesday from the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee.

Committee members interviewed Gilmore and invited his opponent, Shafter Democrat Fran Florez, but she declined to come, according to Nick Ortiz, the chamber’s government affairs manager.
The interview touched on issues including water, taxes, state spending and transportation, according to the announcement.
